1. Power
Taweelah A2 750MW Power Plant in UAE (Taweelah)
ARDOR INTERNATIONAL was the civil works contractor for the Taweelah A2 750 MW power plant in the UAE, 80 kilometres east of Abu Dhabi. Completed in August 2001, Taweelah A2 has the distinction of being the first Build Own Operate (BOO) project in the UAE in the power sector.
Taweelah A2 is owned by Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) and CMS Energy, and Siemens was the EPC contractor. The power plant includes three Siemens V94.3A gas turbines, three heat recovery steam generators and two steam turbines.
The project was executed on a fast track basis in order to honour a commitment made by Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority to increase power output by May 2000. Taweelah A2 is now the benchmark for all Independent Water and Power Projects (IWPP) in the Gulf.
2. Desalination
Mirfa Extension 22MIGD Desalination Plant UAE (Abu Dhabi)
Also completed by ARDOR INTERNATIONAL as one of main contractor is the 23 MIGD Mirfa desalination plants which serves the southern areas of the Abu Dhabi region, It is comprised of three Multi-Stage Flash (MSF) distillers, each with a capacity of 7.5 MIGD. The steam is provided by two boilers.
The scope of works for the 30,000 cubic metres of concrete project also included a 650 metre cable tunnel, a 2.5 kilometre long, 2.8 metre diameter discharge pipe, 65 metre diameter steel tanks, a seawater intake structure and an outfall structure.
3. Smart Buildings
Etisalat Sharjah UAE
ARDOR INTERNATIONAL was the main contractor for the Etisalat Headquarters in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
The tower's complex design is inspired by the shape of an Islamic minaret.
The 120 metre high tower contains three large granite and stainless steel public areas, a cafeteria & lounge, a highly finished 72 seat auditorium and 12 floors of office, mechanical, transmission, telecom switching and network management areas.
Smart building capabilities include an advanced Building Management System, a closed circuit TV system (CCTV), a lighting control system and an integrated security and Ardor Internationals control system.
4. Hospitals
Ajman Hospital
The 180 bed Ajman Hospital in the United Arab Emirates is another key healthcare project. It includes four operating theatres, intensive care unit, emergency areas, radiology, laboratories, mechanical rooms and a mortuary. External works include a helipad, roads and landscaping.
5. Schools
Fayha Govt School Pakistan (Lahore)
Providing future generations with safe, student-friendly schools is one of ARDOR INTERNATIONAL's contributions to our community.
ARDOR INTERNATIONAL's involvement with school construction has enabled the company to further the prospects of the next generation by creating outstanding learning environments.
6. Telecom Works
Bahria Town Phase II (Islamabad)
Linking communities across the Islamabad in a further diversification of services,
ARDOR INTERNATIONAL has completed three comprehensive telecommunications packages in Islamabad and Lahore.
Project OSP2, Phase I in the Bahria Town was ARDOR INTERNATIONAL's first in Islamabad.
It consisted of providing 5,000 telephone lines in Works included 250 kilometers of trenching, duct installation and 917 kilometers of underground and aerial cables System.
7. Mechanical & Electrical
ARDOR INTERNATIONAL has the flexibility to diversify its activities and has done so by penetrating related fields of operations. Electrical and mechanical works are such fields, where ARDOR INTERNATIONAL has completed works on some of its major building projects.
